Aeromedical Training in the middle of Jutland, The Kingdom of Denmark
The course takes place at Midtjylland Karup Airport (KRP), a Danish regional airport collocated with the military airbase, Helicopter Wing Karup. The airport is small and very efficient, with short walking distances and quick security procedures. Upon arrival, you will have direct access to the course facilities right upstairs from arrivals.

Midtjylland Karup Airport offers convenient domestic flights to Copenhagen (approx. 45 minutes). Flights operate several times daily on weekdays with a reduced schedule on weekends.
Getting Here
You can get to Karup by air, by train from Copenhagen Airport or Copenhagen Central Station to Herning Station, or by car.

Train connections can be found on DSB.
Other transport options
Flexbus connections are available between the airport and nearby towns such as Viborg and Holstebro, operated by Midttrafik.

There are currently no hotel facilities at the airport, and no recommended accommodation in Karup.

Nearby Attractions
Viborg is located 20 km north of Karup. It is one of the oldest cities in Denmark, located in the central part of the Jutland peninsula. The city has a long history that dates back to the Viking Age and was once an important political and religious centre. One of its most famous landmarks is Viborg Cathedral, a large and impressive church that dominates the city center. Today, Viborg is known for its beautiful lakes, green surroundings, and historic atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to live and visit.
20 km to the south is Herning, a modern city located in the central part of the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. It is known for its strong business community, cultural events, and large exhibition centres. One of the most famous venues in the city is MCH Messecenter Herning, which hosts international fairs, concerts, and sports events. Today, Herning is an important centre for trade, culture, and entertainment in the region.
